What we do
We provide care and education for low-resource mothers during pregnancy, birth and postpartum periods through a mix of traditional Mayan customs and Western medicine. Our team of local birth attendants and nurses provide medical, spiritual and emotional support for the mother while welcoming her family and traditional midwife to participate in the process...

Dr. Erica McElroy is an Emergency Medicine physician who visited the town of San Juan La Laguna with her church group.
